A STRAY cat that has taken up residence in the back garden of a house in Tavistock is causing great concern for a local woman.

Jill Thomas noticed the cat had been returning for several days and causing problems for her own cat when she began attempts to discourage it from returning to the garden.

She said she has tried all sorts and contacted quite a few different organisations, including the RSPCA, Cat Protection and the Animal Rescue but to no avail.

Jill also took the cat to the vet in the hope that it had been micro-chipped but unfortunately it had neither been chipped or declared missing.

‘It is a male, white with ginger patches and to my surprise is turning out to be placid,’ she said. ‘It went in the cat carrier so easy that it must belong to someone and they must be upset and worried.’

If anyone believes this cat to be theirs please contact the Times office on 01822 613666.
