INTERNATIONAL recording artist and film star Michael James comes from West Palm Beach, Florida, to the Wharf, Tavistock on Friday, August 10.

Having toured throughout Germany and France in the Spring of 1989 he eventually came to Britain to open for Guy Mitchell and Bill Anderson at the Morecambe International Festival.

Tours across Europe and on to South Africa followed — and drew rave reviews.

Michael has performed with some of the biggest names in the business.

As a drummer he and his group the Blue Jays worked with the legendary Conway Twitty. Then, flirting with the big screen, he worked with Burt Reynolds, Sally Field and Jerry Reed on the runaway film success 'Smokey and the Bandit 2' and then in 'Stick' featuring Burt again, George Segal and Candice Bergen.

Now as a unique one-man keyboard player, rich-deep vocalist, drummer and guitarist Michael has built up a repertoire of more than 3,000 songs from Country to Rock to easy listening.

Supporting Michael will be Country and Western exponents Keith and Louise Manifold. Keith, a recording artiste since 1977 is joined by his daughter Louise who has had much experience in stage solo appearances.
