AWARDS are coming thick and fast for the Bowden Hosta Nursery at Sticklepath which this week achieved a silver medal at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

The nursery is run by Ruth and Tim Penrose, who are continuing the success of relatives Ann and Roger Bowden, founders of the business who won numerous awards over the years.

Mr and Mrs Penrose have returned with honours from many flower shows this season, including a silver gilt at Chelsea and a gold medal at the Malvern Spring Flower Show.

The hosta garden at Sticklepath is open by appointment and houses more than 1,000 varieties of hosta.
