FAIRPLACE Church in Okehampton will hold a special service later this month as part of an appeal by a local charity.

Hospiscare has launched its annual Tree of Light appeal, which offers families a chance to remember their loved ones in the run up to Christmas. The appeal invites friends and relatives to dedicate a light on a Christmas tree outside Exeter Cathedral in memory of someone they have lost. Names are also recorded in a special book of memories. which will be on display at a series of services across Devon.
