TAVISTOCK Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed an incident last week where a man helped an elderly women to stop her car after it began rolling down Drake Road.
At around 1.30pm last Wednesday a small Mercedes smart car was parked outside Miller and Son in Drake Road. The elderly woman driver got out of the car, but the vehicle began rolling back down the road.
The woman jumped back into her car and was helped by a man to regain control of it before any damage was caused. She then drove off and found an alternative parking space in the town.
The unidentified man who helped the woman stop the car is described as middle-aged and thickset with dark hair.
