aIMPRESSIONS of the daily life and beauty of Dartmoor National Park are needed to help celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Members of the public are invited to submit their memories, tales of favourite places, people or history — whether factual or an emotional response — or ideas on the future of Dartmoor.
Dartmoor National Park Authority spokesman, Mike Nendick, said: 'The foot and mouth crisis has heightened awareness of the value of national parks, both as areas with a long history of land management by farming and as areas hugely popular for public enjoyment.'
This would be 'an opportunity to share your feelings on how the disease has affected you'.
A selection of the writings will be compiled as 'Moor Glimpses' and added to the website at http://www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk">www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk
