LYDFORD Twelfth Night Ball will be celebrating it's 57th anniversary on Friday January 8.

The Lydford Twelfth Night Ball began in 1953 to raise money towards the purchase of coronation mugs for Lydford children, and from 1954, all proceeds have been given to Cancer Research. Since the present committee took over the organisation of the event in 1991, more than £30,000 has been raised.

At this year's ball, there will be a buffet, a bar, a raffle and music provided by the Crazy Mamas band.
