ADULT learners from Made-Well have raised £300 for good causes after taking part in a sponsored sports day for Sports Relief back in March.

The group are all participating in a Learn Devon course at the not-for-profit day centre near Hatherleigh which provides purposeful day activities for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or mental ill health.

Activities during the group’s Sports Relief challenge included a swim and gym session at Parklands Leisure centre in Okehampton. The sports sessions formed an element of their course and they worked as a team to plan and organise them.

‘We did this because we want people to have the same chances we have,’ said Tillie who took part in the exercise bike challenge.

Lee, who also participated in the exercise bike challenge said: ‘Sport Relief is a good cause. We planned this as a group.’
