I AM glad to say that I was absent when the accident occurred which led to traffic chaos in the area two weeks ago.
However, until the views of the general public are listened to and the local councillors can stop being overruled by those who have no interest in Tavistock and just ?go with the flow? we will continue to have these complete cockups?. It is hard not to say we told you so!

Rural Gateway
WITH reference to last week?s front page article about the traffic chaos on the Whitchurch rural gateway, I am not in the least surprised.
A number of months ago Ian Kilpatrick and myself started a campaign to stop the county council putting up this stupid gateway.
We had over one hundred letters and phone calls objecting to the gateway, including a strong letter from Horrabridge Parish Council. In spite of this the county council went ahead with the gateway scheme.
As for Graham Atkins? comment that the gateway was democratically installed; what nonsense when everybody round here was totally opposed to it.
