WEST Devon residents have been invited to take part in the annual 'Walk of Witness' on Good Friday around Tavistock. Christians will walk around the town at 10.30am from Bedford Square along Brook Street, stopping to sing and pray outside the Old Folks' Rest Room, Somerfield Supermarket and back to the rest room. The procession will then walk along Duke Street and West Street, stopping at the junction of West Street and Market Street. From there they will return to Bedford Square. A united service will be held in Bedford Square at 11.15am. l The United Benefice of Milton Abbot is also holding a 'Walk of Witness' event, which will begin at Marystow Church at 11am and finish at Coryton Church at around 1pm. Pauses will be made for the Stations of the Cross. The walk will be followed by tea and hot cross buns at Coryton House. Everyone is invited to the event.
