Tavistock . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .0

THE Lambs remain joint top with this point at Bodeive Park and —but for the home side's Mark Gear in goal — would surely have came away with all three.

It was all Tavistock for the first ten minutes as Gears denied Lee Doncaster with a save at the post and then had the fortune to gather the ball after Doncaster had charged down his clearance.

The Bridgers first attack came after fifteen minutes but a free kick went wide.

John Gosling turned and shot just wide after twenty minutes before Doncaster saw his first shot hit a post and his follow up tipped away by Gears.

The keeper was in action two minutes later to deny Simon Parnell and saved again from Parnell as the first half came to an end.

The Lambs continued to press for the opener immediately at the start of the second half with Paul Smith seeing Gears save easily and Nathan Blamey came surging forward from the back but saw two efforts go wide.

The game had nil nil written all over it long before the end but both sides could have stolen all three with Jeff Babb turning sharply in the area to shoot wide with five minutes remaining and the Bridgers saw a header go over the bar from a free kick just after.

A rather uninspiring game in which the Lambs will look back on as two points dropped than a point gained away from home.
