TAVISTOCK first played some really good hockey, but were not strong enough for top of the league TVHC.
The mixture of age and youth that is in the first team gelled for the majority of the game, with some outstanding interplay between Carl Jeffery and Paul Marchant, Josh Cowan and Gareth George.

The goal came from a well worked short corner routine performed by Shane Lovett and Jake Doney, with the final touch from Josh Cowan.
Dale Wood ventured past the half way line to contribute to the control in the midfield; bringing left wing David Richards into the game, to give the TVHC right back a wall to break down every time they attacked down the right hand side of the pitch.
Scoring five of their seven goals from short corners TVHCs proved too clinical for Tavistock goalkeeper Paul Mingo and the defence. Tavistock men of match were James Tosdevin and Wayne Rundle.
