Okehampton 2nds 4 Marjons 5 THIS was Okehampton 2nds hockey team?s first league game. From the start Okehampton put pressure on and with the team playing as a unit the first goal came quickly with an excellent strike from Jacob Lloyd. This inspired the team with wide balls from the midfield, Paul Feehan and Luke Mille, out to the wings, Josh Speak, James Rogers, swapping in and out with Toby Lloyd, who made good runs down the line linking up with strikers Nick Luxton and Jacob Lloyd. This paid off with the second goal coming from Nick Luxton. Marjons then came back with a goal just before half-time. The second half saw Okehampton struggle to match the fitness of Marjons. Will Spry, Ian Miller and Keith Webber made some good interceptions and clearances. Sam Spry defended well but the pressure soon paid off and Marjons scored their third from a penalty flick. Play continued to be end to end with Okehampton and Marjons scoring another two goals each, with Okehampton?s coming from Nick and Jacob. Richard Bond had an excellent game in goal, making some key saves to keep Okehampton in the game but just before the final whistle Marjons scored again.
