ANYONE who fancies a few hours doing something with a bit of a difference on a Saturday can try their hand at tackling the climbing the wall at Tavistock College.

The indoor climbing wall at the sports hall has re-opened on Saturday nights, between 7pm and 8.30pm.

Sessions are run by qualified staff from Tavistock and District Outdoor Education Forum — all equipment is provided and all ages from six years upwards are catered for.

Peter Challis, chairman of the forum, said: 'It can be as hard as you can manage — but beginners can still climb to the top of the wall and touch the bar.'

The sessions cost just £2. Parties of up to 15 can be accommodated, if booked in advance.
