TAVISTOCK College?s sharp-shooting girls? soccer team are due to head off for their dream fixture at premiership side Southampton FC tomorrow (Friday), as they fight to clinch the South West regional final of the national Coca Cola Cup.
The U13 girls have a brilliant record in the competition so far, scoring 37 goals and conceding just one in seven games.
Tomorrow they will be using the Saints? team dressing rooms, then running out of the tunnel to meet Sholing School, the Hampshire county champions.
Following the match there will be a special presentation and reception, followed by dinner and a night?s hotel accommodation, courtesy of Coca Cola.
Coach Hayley Bray said: ?The girls are really excited about Friday ? they have done incredibly well to have got so far in this competition and to be just a game away from being one of the last four teams in a national event is amazing.
?Whatever happens on Friday, they are a tribute to Tavistock College ? and to themselves ? we are really proud of them.?
If the girls win at St Mary?s, they go forward represent the South West in the national semi-finals being held at Vicarage Road, home of Watford FC, next Wednesday, May 19.
