TWO events for runners take place in West Devon next month. The Sticklepath Horseshoe Run is on Saturday August 13, starting at 1pm. It sets off at SX641940 ? behind Sticklepath Foundry ? and is a 9.6-mile moorland run around the source of the River Taw, climbing 1,700ft. Individual navigation is required. Entries on the day only close at 12.40pm. The entry fee is £4 and the lower age limit is 18. On Sunday August 14, the Sourton Tor Race takes place at 11am for the John Hockridge Challenge Cup. It starts and finishes at SX535902 at Sourton Village Hall and is a race to the summit of the tor and back. All are welcome to take part or spectate. Entries on the day close at 10.40am.
