BERE Alston had not played for a month because of bad weather and it showed, as they ran the game but were caught with every sucker punch goal imaginable.
Gerrans played no nonsense defending with nine men back and two up front. Bere's flowing football was stopped on the 18 yards box and chances were made and missed.
Gerrans' only shot put them in front. Bere equalised as Westlake shot home.
Bere were caught on the break as their indiscipline cost them goals and to add to their woes bookings and a dismissal for Ian Crabb rounded off a bad day.
