PRINCETOWN History Club is currently holding monthly talks and meetings at Princetown village centre.
The club provides anyone interested in Dartmoor with the opportunity to listen to a wide range of regular knowledgeable speakers, and to learn about subjects ranging from the tinning industry, farming, railways, rivers, wildlife and communities, to lost milestones and post boxes.
The August meeting will be a visit to Wilsworthy Army Range. Meet 7 pm at Wilsworthy Camp.
The first of the winter sessions is on September 1. At this meeting, there will be a talk by Helen Harris on her book 'Incomers to Devon'.
The end of year meeting in December will be held at the Prince of Wales pub and will include a buffet and a quiz based on Dartmoor and Devon.
The meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm.
Visitors are welcome.
