A DRAMA project by members of Okehampton's Fusion Youths Arts has received outstanding results in the recent London Guildhall of Music and Drama exams for group performance.
Passes with merit were achieved by the junior and intermediate group while the senior group pulled off a pass with honours.
Members of the drama project 'All Out Performing Arts Academy' are now in celebration mode and tutor Julian Barnicott is 'over the moon'.
He said: 'These exams are all about working together as a team and bringing out the best of yourself and others.
'These are a superb set of results and they are even more impressive when you consider this is the first time any of the young people from the Fusion group have taken the exams.'
Mr Barnicott hopes the success of the project will encourage other young people to join Fusion's drama groups which meet every Monday evening during school term times in the Octagon Theatre at Okehampton College.
Community youth worker Alan King has praised Mr Barnicott for his 'tireless work' with all three groups.
'He demands the best from them at all times — the formula obviously works and the results are a tremendous credit to both him and the young people involved,' he said.

The only requirements are that you are aged between 8 and 25 years, have plenty of enthusiasm and are willing to join in the fun.
