LAST month, the young people of Princetown Pavilion Youth Club (PPYC) and volunteers from the local community took part in a three-mile sponsored walk.
Despite the awful weather the group left from Princetown Pavilion youth centre to walk to Foggintor Quarry and back.
With the remoteness of Princetown, the young people felt very strongly about providing flood lights to allow the air ambulance to land 24- hours-a-day and so wished to be the first in the village to contribute to the fund with their sponsored walk. Through their fundraising efforts they raised £185.
The youth group will be further supporting the raising of funds through taking part in the Princetown Summer Fete on Saturday (August 19) where members will be holding a craft stall alongside the PPYC musical performance tent where will have young people singing and playing music, holding musical workshops, and open mic spaces for the public to join in.
