BURRATOR Twinning Association hosted a party of visitors from its twinned village of Mathieu, near Caen in Normandy.

This year marked the 35th anniversary of the twinning and a celebration cake was cut by presidents Monique Spahn of Mathieu and Karen Batson of Burrator at a dinner for 41 people at Meavy Village Hall. Guests were presented with a commemorative pen each made by Pens and Moor of Tavistock.

A trip on the steam train from Paignton to Kingswear, a picnic in Dartmouth and a cruise up the River Dart were enjoyed by all and hosts treated their respective guests to other visits locally.
