WITH reference to Mr Warne's letter in last weeks Times.
We notice that Mr Warne has thanked all the parties concerned except Tavistock Assocation Football Club, a prime member in the whole progression and development of the scheme. Tavistock AFC would like to remind Mr Warne and your readers that without allowing access across their existing car park this scheme would not have been possible.
The only other possible access would have been from Crowndale Road. This would have meant the loss of two pitches which would have made the scheme financially non-viable.
The effort and commitment of Tavistock Association Football Club over many many years should have been recognised. The football club remained resolute to the scheme for the benefit of the local community and for future generations.
