TAVISTOCK'S monthly charity event, the Acoustic Café, will be hosting a special fundraising benefit for the victims of the Haitian earthquake.

The Acoustic Café is held at the Parish Church Centre on Plymouth Road, and the fundraising event will take place this Saturday, January 30.

The evening will feature a range of contemporary folk, blues and jazz music from a variety of talented local musicians.

The Acoustic Café hosts an event once a month with proceeds from the door and raffle going to a different charity each month, and in return the charity provides volunteers to help out on the night. This month, the money raised will go to the Haiti Appeal.

A selection of home-cooked food will be on offer and diners are welcome to take their own beer or wine to accompany their meal.
