Volunteers Christine Marsh, centre, and Mish and Rob Flexman of community group Everything Okehampton are pictured putting up flags in the town centre earlier this week.

The flags, up in time for the Okehampton Food and Music Festival on Saturday, June 29, have been sponsored by the Rotary Club of Okehampton to brighten up the town for the summer.

They were originally designed and made by Trisha Shaw, who runs fashion store Kudos in Red Lion Yard, featuring logos referencing the shops sponsoring them. The Rotary club has covered the cost of remounting of the flags on poles to fit into slots above shop doorways.
