A SINGLE swimmer represented the Okehampton Otters at this year?s Open Meet at Plymouth Leander early in December. With the year coming to a close and the Otters Club Championships only a few days away, thirteen year old Matthew Westlake?s six individual performances left him in five top ten positions at the close of the meet. Continuing to improve his performance Matthew swam five personal best efforts in the 100m breastroke (10th in age group), 50m backstroke (3rd overall), 50m freestyle (12th overall), 100m backstroke (6th in age group) and 100m IM (10th in age group). Although not recording a personal best Matthew finished seventh in age group in his 200m backcrawl event.
