IN the Tavistock Snooker league Conservative B nestled right in there with the league pace-setters with a convincing 4-1 win over their neighbours Conservative C.
Evans had no problems for Conservative B with a comfortable win over a subdued Bassett unlike team mate Lillicrap who struggled but eventually overcame a tenacious Craze on the black ball. Another black ball game followed, this time it was Conservative C skipper Clive Jago who hung in to pull one back for his team over Ewings. That was the nearest Con C got to any further reward with Andrews and Dolan making it four for the B team boasting a couple of 21 breaks each along the way.
This local derby lifted West Devon C off the bottom of the league as they pulled off a fine win over the West Devon B team. Decieco and Elliott got things going nicely for West Devon C with good wins over J Rich and Gilchrist, the later going all the way to the black.
West Devon B pulled it back with a comfortable win for Ronnie Moule over Pennington and R Rich leaving it to the black to prise out Grigg.
West Devon C pulled it out of the bag with Williams calling on all his cue artistry to brush aside Smith to seal the first win of the season for his team.
