FIRE crews were called to extinguish a fire in a range of farm buildings in Bratton Clovelly last Thursday.

Two crews from Okehampton, a crew from Launceston and the water carrier from Exeter attended the incident just after 10.30pm where a number of farm buildings containing 200 small bales of hay and light machinery were well alight.

Crews used three jets, two breathing apparatus and water from a nearby hydrant were used to extinguish the fire. They removed the contents of the buildings to open ground.

The buildings and contents were 80% damaged by the fire.
