UNION Inn A brought the first Tavistock Quiz League season to a close with their 15th win in 16 outings. It was one of their less convincing performances, as it took five rounds to take the lead, and they eventually won by four points.

Final League table: 1, Union A Played 16-90 points; 2. Ordulph Arms 13-59; 3, Tavistock Inn 16-57; 4, Royal Standard 17-54; 5, Union B 10-22; 6, Leg O?Mutton 5-21.

On presentation night the ?Tavistock Challenge? was won by Union B who defeated Union A and Ordulph Arms on a tie-break.
