MR GEORGE, the headteacher of St Peter's C of E Junior School, is retiring at the end of this term after 23 years as headteacher. The school council would like to mark the occasion of his retirement at the end of term. At 3pm on the afternoon of Thursday July 17 we will be celebrating Mr George's time here with the children, staff, governors and any parents who would like to attend. At the end of the day, after the children have been dismissed, there will be an opportunity for friends, parents, children and ex pupils to join the staff and governors in the hall to informally say farewell to Mr George. Anyone who knows Mr George is warmly invited to attend this event and please pass the word on to anyone who you feel would be interested in attending. If you would like to contribute towards a leaving gift for Mr George, please send your contribution into school as soon as possible to Mrs Bassett in reception. Thank you.
