AN exciting new website aimed at boosting the profile of Dartmoor has been launched by the Dartmoor Partnership, the official organisation tasked with promoting the area as a tourism hotpot.

The site — http://www.dartmoor.co.uk">www.dartmoor.co.uk — provides everything one might need to know about visiting Dartmoor, from where to stay, to what to do.

Visitors and local residents alike can benefit from the vault of information within the site.

Jess Whistance of the Dartmoor Partnership said: 'We have spent a great deal of time working on the new website to ensure that it has as much information as possible for those wishing to find out about Dartmoor and what it has to offer.

'You might be a keen mountain biker looking for a route; you might be wanting a relaxing spa break or maybe wondering where you can buy Dartmoor beef; whatever it is, dartmoor.co.uk can help.'

The Dartmoor Partnership has been promoting Dartmoor and supporting local businesses for more than 25 years as the Dartmoor Tourist Association.

In March 2008, it joined forces with West Devon Borough Council, Dartmoor National Park Authority and The Duchy of Cornwall to form the Dartmoor Partnership, aided by funding through Devon Renaissance.

The Dartmoor Partnership now has in excess of 600 members.
