A FUNDRAISING family event saw mothers, fathers, siblings and staff of Whitchurch Community Primary School battle it out to be crowned champions in the second annual Whitchurch Netball Tournament.
Four mixed teams of players including parents, older siblings and relatives of the school children, as well as members of staff, competed against each other to be the top team in the tournament.
After collating the points, the yellow team - Imogen Syrett, Lisa France, Penny Steele, Johnny Bradford, Angie Dowle, Louisa Butchers and Lee Easton, were crowned the winners.
As well as the tournament, visitors enjoyed a bouncy castle, barbecue and bar.
The event was organised by the Whitchurch School Association (WSA) and all funds raised will go towards providing new equipment and books for the school.
Headteacher Angela O'Shea Warman said: 'I really enjoyed the netball, it is always lovely to attend an event suitable for every member of the family.'
The WSA expressed thanks to everyone who helped and attended the event making it such a success.
The school will be holding its main fundraising event, the Summer Fair, on July 9 on the school premises.
