North Tawton Primary School held a wreath-making competition as part of this year’s Christmas celebrations.

The Friends of North Tawton School (FONTS) organised the cardboard templates and children paid £1 to take part.

School principal Tara Penny said: ’It was so hard to choose winners. I am so proud of the creativity and care the children took designing and creating their wreaths.’

Here, the winners pose in their Christmas outfits.

The picture shows, from left to right: George Sheepy (Reception), Henry Forsey (Year One), Ned Jones (Year Two), Ralph Clatworthy Edwards (Year Three), Oliver Horn (Year Six), Jessica Reynolds (Year Four), Rebecca Sims (Year Five) and Poppy Jones (Nursery).
