WHEN it comes to agility and good doggie behaviour there are a few dogs from Okehampton who can show the nation's favourite pooch Pudsey a trick or two!

No they're not barking — well OK they do a bit — but the canines from Devon Dogs dog training reckon that the co-winner of Britain's Got Talent with owner Ashleigh Butler isn't the only doggy star around when it comes to putting on a good show.

Devon Dogs, who are based at Newhall Equestrian Centre, Broadclyst have a new headquarters at East Bowerland Farm Okehampton. As well as agility the school offers classes in dog obedience. Between the two centres there are around 250 members and their pets taking part in the training schools.

Devon Dogs head trainer Lauren Langman, who herself has represented Great Britain in the World Agility Championships, qualified for the Olympia Agility finals and reach the top three in best trainer in the UK, told the Times: 'The show itself is a brilliant atmosphere for our dogs to be training in. They work at show events but still have to perform and show their best behaviour when they are in the ring and competing. There's a real buzz about the place and the dogs and their owners have great fun working together.'

Pudsey, sit!
