Offwell & Motel Rangers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2
Okehampton Argyle 3rds . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 7
ANOTHER disciplined and determined performance from the 3rds. Although it took a while to gain possession, once they did, the ball was kept on the ground.
Within the first seven minutes Okehampton had three attacks on target. It was simply a matter of time before Eddy put the Offwell goalkeeper under pressure and the ball rebounded into the net as he tried to clear it.
Eddy, picking up on some good interplay between Coleman and Evans, scored again. Argyle took the initiative and before half time scored two more goals. Morgan scored a well deserved goal, in a neat move with Harris. Argyle?s fourth came from Evans.
Within 30 seconds of the second half Harris scored after a determined run down the left. Moments later Weekes received the ball and floated it in from 40 yards for Argyle?s sixth.
Motel responded by increasing the pressure on Okehampton?s defence. Making a routine save, Jackson pulled a muscle and the ball almost crossed the line. Despite Okehampton protests, the referee awarded the goal. Woodhouse, who had made a solid contribution at left back, replaced Jackson in goal.
Okehampton?s seventh goal came when Weekes passed the ball through to Harris who headed it home. Offwell scored a second goal before the final whistle.
Man of the match: Ben Harris.
