A BY-ELECTION is being held on Thursday September 6 for Tavistock Town Council (North Ward). The candidates are John Sellis (Conservative), of St David?s Road, Tavistock and Graham Turner (Liberal Democrat) of Buctor Park, Tavistock. August 21 is the final date for electors in the North ward of Tavistock to include their names on the register for this election. New postal vote applications and changes to existing postal or proxy vote applications must also be received by this date. Postal votes will be issued on August 22. Wednesday August 29 is the last date for receipt of proxy vote applications. The polling station is at Tavistock Methodist Church.
