POLICE are appealing for information after a newborn lamb was stolen from a farm in Callington.

The one-day old male lamb was taken from the field in Haye Road, along with a plastic container of mineral sheep food, between 8pm on Sunday April 1 and 10.30am on Monday April 2.

The lamb is marked with blue dye in the form of a blob with a number two sprayed either side. The owner is concerned for the welfare of the lamb as it is much too young to be away from its mother and and is likely to die no matter how much milk it is fed.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting crime reference number BN/12/212.
