Okehampton U11s 21 Exeter Chiefs U11s 7 BETTER tackling and strong straight running proved the deciding factor as Okehampton won by three converted tries to one. Okehampton were always dangerous on the break and this was the case as Sam Ewen scored the first try. Tom Fogarty?s strong burst from twenty yards made it 14 points for Okehampton at half time as Matt Johns converted both tries. Exeter Chiefs made a strong effort at the start of the second half but were stopped by some excellent defence from the Okehampton forwards where Buster Francis and Chris Courtier excelled. Okehampton were caught asleep from a short penalty as the Chiefs scored in the corner to make it 14-7. Further pressure from the Chiefs caused some worrying moments for the home supporters until Oliver Kirby stole a ball from near his own line and ran the full length of the pitch to score in the corner, Matt Johns converting for the third time.
