Okehampton Argyle Seconds 0

Crescent 1

OKEHAMPTON?S unbeaten run came to an end against a side who gave them their toughest match earlier in the season.

A slightly reshuffled Okehampton settled early but found the visitors resolute at the back. Having had a two-week lay off Okehampton struggled to find their touch and passing.

Crescent found the

defence hard to break down. Scott Leyman looked comfortable in goal and just before half-time Leyman and his defence pulled off some fine defending with three efforts blocked in a goalmouth scramble.

The second half saw Okehampton dominate down the slope but good defending and poor build up play saw little goalmouth action.

Okehampton?s Martyn Letchford pulled his hamstring and was waiting to be subbed when he found himself under pressure from a left wing cross and could do nothing to stop the visiting striker heading home against the run of play.

Okehampton threw bodies forward and Danny Maddax thumped a cross against the bar but for all their domination they never looked like breaking down the Crescent defence.

Okehampton will have to improve against high flying Heavitree SC away this Saturday, 2.30pm kick-off.
