A SELECTION of courses at venues in towns and villages throughout West Devon are being offered by Adult and Community Learning.

Courses start the week beginning September 21 with free 'Try it out sessions' starting a week prior. All learners enrolling before September 26 will receive a discount of £5 off each course.

The programme contains a wide variety of subjects, including arts and crafts, computers, work-related courses such as first aid, and food safety courses designed to meet the needs of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

To improve literacy or numeracy skills, or gain a nationally recognised qualification call to arrange an assessment, and a course will be tailor-made.

Fee concessions may be available for those in receipt of a means-tested benefit and all over 60s benefit from a reduction in fees of 10% for most courses.

To enrol call 0845 155 1014 or pop into the office at the Alexander Centre, Tavistock, or Okehampton Community Learning Office, Okehampton.

A brochure will be sent to all homes in Tavistock and Okehampton at the end of August.
