THE Great British Country event, including Cotehele’s annual apple day, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25.
There will be more than 50 artisan and food stalls, plays and live music.
Each day the team will crank up the restored Victorian cider press in the Mother Orchard with a talk every hour, culminating with the ‘big squeeze’ when they will press the apples.
Visitors will be able to taste different apple varieties grown in the Westcountry, there will be an orchard tour, disease and pest displays and a juice-mixing laboratory for children.
The event will run from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
