Brixham Colts 12

Tavistock Colts 24

FROM last week's defeat against Torquay, the young Tavistock side were out to put immediate pressure on Brixham.

It took them just ten minutes to break through Brixham's defence with a great flowing move finished by George Rodgers. This was then converted by Dan Scott who played a pivotal role in Tavistock's attack and defence.

Brixham, to their credit, showed good quality to level the score after receiving large pressure from Tavistock's offence.

The home side made early intentions in the second half that the game was not to be dominated by Tavistock with a try from their centre who proved to be a handful.

This though made Tavistock even more determined to get back into the game with great commitment from the forwards to turnover Brixham's possession on several occasions and drive through their defence.

Dividends paid off as they went on to score two more tries by Jamie Ross and Niall Murphy, who both made good surging runs towards the try line.

After the game Tavistock were treated to meet England and London Irish player Steffon Armitage who was in Brixham to watch his former team play. This topped off a fantastic day for the young Tavistock Colts team.
