THE OKEHAMPTON branch of the Royal British Legion is laying on a special coach to attend the Devon County Festival of Remembrance later this year and is interested in hearing from people who would like to attend.
It is hoped the Okehampton branch will be well represented as it is the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Royal British Legion, whose work is as important today as in the aftermath of the Great War.
The festival, which includes a parade of Branch Standards from all over Devon, will be held in the Great Hall at Exeter University on the evening of November 8.
Tickets, at £5, can be ordered at the Okehampton Branch Social Club in Station Road and this includes free transportation by coach from Okehampton.
