YOUNG people of Okehampton have received £1,000 from the Co-op Community Fund towards building a new skate park in the town.

The youngsters are working with the Devon Youth Service at Room 13 in Okehampton to bring the £50,000 project to fruition.

A number of grant applications have been made for the new concrete skate park project which will replace the current one near the North Road Industrial Estate.
