Duchy Knockout Cup Gunnislake 5 Looe 2 DIVISION one leaders Looe arrived with a 100% winning record but came out second best against their premier division rivals in this first round tie. With understandable confidence the visitors started brightly but Gunnislake soon settled and, showing clinical finishing for the first time this season, established a three goal lead inside 30 minutes. Jarryd Kelly for Gunnislake turned his marker before striking home from the edge of the penalty area and fellow strike partner Darren Woolley added a second before Ash Dobson fired home from a tight angle to make it three. Looe gave themselves a lifeline as they reduced the arrears through Matt Barton shortly before the interval. The visitors had a real go in the opening 15 minutes of the second half as they made a determined effort to get back in the game. Gunnislake stood firm and then dealt their opponents a sucker punch when Woolley headed home a Dobson corner to re-establish his team?s three goal lead. Showing character Looe did not give up and Wes Garaghon soon scored to give his team a chance. But, Gunnislake sealed the result with some 10 minutes remaining thanks to a well taken Stef Kelly goal. Launceston Cup Gunnislake 4 Altarnun 1 ON Sunday afternoon these two sides played their second game in as many days. Each team played some decent football and showed a competitive edge at times but largely this was a lacklustre affair as both sides never really got going. After a goalless first half Altarnun opened the scoring on the hour mark. Gunnislake only took five minutes to equalise and then scored at regular intervals to progress to the second round.
