Lakeside Centre at Roadford Lake is to play host to the Dartmoor National Park Authority exhibition 'Climate Change: I can change the future . . .'
The event runs from August 23 to September 4 — not open August 30.
The interactive exhibition is part of a sustained public awareness campaign to enhance understanding of climate change issues and how they will affect us all on a local and global level.
The exhibition explains how climate change issues impact on the local environment and how people can take steps to meet the challenge.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see the results of research by Dartmoor National Park Authority and learn how to adapt to the consequences of climate change in practical and effective ways.
The Roadford Lake education team will be running free activity sessions on Tuesday August 26 and Thursday August 28 from 11am on the theme of climate change to support the exhibition.
Based in the areas around the Lakeside centre, these will include making recycled paper, making rain sticks, a water filter challenge, and short boat trips on the lake.
Jo Simpson, education officer at Roadford. said: 'With nature walks through the fields and woods, children's play area, and good food available in the Lakeside café, there will be plenty to keep the family entertained for the whole day.'
