TAVISTOCK'S Clare Short and Liz Vernon took part in one of the longest established and most popular city centre road races in the UK last weekend.

In the 28th Bath Half Marathon 15,000 runners took part in a busy and cold start to the run, but the day turned out beautiful and bright – perfect for the 13.1 miles.

The two lap course of Bath took Clare Short 1 hour 53 min 09 sec placing her 4,415th and Liz Vernon with 2hrs 24mins 38secs placing her 9,529th, both personal best times.

Both Liz and Clare were really pleased with their times and are definitely going to do Bath Half Marathon again next year!
