A SERVICE to celebrate almost ten years of the refurbished Fairplace Church will begin next month.
The Terry Bennett centre, which is at the front of the church, will hold a Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday February 10 at 11.15am followed by a buffet lunch.
Former Minister of the church the Rev Andrew Sowden, who helped to oversee the refurbishment in 1998 and 1999, is returning to lead a celebratory morning service on Sunday March 8 at 10.30am.
There will be a special West Devon Circuit Songs of Praise service at 6.30pm, where readings and hymns will be led by the choir and choral society, along with musicians.
To complete the celebrations, the church is holding a gift day with coffee and lunch on Saturday March 14 from 10am to 2pm.
Proceeds will go towards the much needed new heating system and other maintenance projects.
