PYJAMAS and onesies were the outfits of choice at Delaware Community Primary recently for a story telling evening.

All the teachers sportingly dressed up to read bedtime stories, to the ready-for-bed children and their families. A variety of Cornish, funny or silly stories were read.

Everyone enjoyed hot chocolate, cake and biscuits. Cups were generously donated by local companies. Thanks were expressed to The Original Pasty House and Karen's Restaurant of Tavistock, Louis Tea Rooms at Kit Hill, Callington, and to the Friends of Delaware for all their refreshments.

The evening was rounded off by a spirited rendition of the three Billy Goats Gruff, by Lynn Nash, acting executive head of Delaware and Gunnislake Primary Schools.

A spokesperson for the school said: 'Her impersonation of the hideous, odious Trevor the Troll was a joy to behold, but will certainly ensure those who witnessed it will be behaving at school to make sure they don't see Trevor again!'
