ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club with perfect weather, and the course in superb condition a large field took part in the 36 hole club championship.
After battling it out the eventual winner and club champion of 2011 was Jonathan Rattenbury who scored a gross 76 + 70 for a total of 146.
Jonathan was also the winner of the Hutchings Cup for the best 36 hole handicap score with a net 71 + 65, total 136.
In second place was Gareth Holt with a combined 147 after countback from, in third Matt Soby who also had a 147.
The winner of the Leonard Tankard which is awarded for the best two rounds from a player over the age of 55 was Barry Hodges who scored a gross 83 + 87, total 170.
