THREE members of a Tavistock family are in training for a gruelling canoe race for charity which takes place at Easter.

Tom, James and Peter Kersey are undertaking the 125-mile Devizes to Westminster canoe race to raise money for rag charities — Tom is a medical student at Barts in London.

'We hoped to do it in under 24 hours — it depends what the weather is like,' said Tom.
